Reasons Why A Computer Freezes

Ever wonder why is it that your computer that was just running fast yesterday, has now started slowing down, and even freezing out of the blue? There are many who asks the question, why does my computer freeze up? Well it can be a sign of a serious problem with your computer. Chances are the problem lies in the registry files of the computer. The registry is the most valuable part of your computer, that is where all the important information used to operate the software and hardware is kept. It is delicate and once its corrupted, you can consider the files and everything else lost. However, there are ways to avoid crashes and a freezing laptop. These methods will also help make your computer run faster once again.

Be sure that any spy ware and/or viruses are removed. Not only does those things harm your computer, it will slow it down as well. There are certain programs that can be used to get rid of spy ware and viruses. Be sure every computer that is operable, has that protection on it. This is one reason why does my computer freeze up.

Get rid of any software that is  no longer being used. Ridding the computer of any unwanted software is a major factor in slow computers and possibly even freezes. A lot of the times, the unused software on one’s computer will cause slowness, but it can also just run in the background and therefore take up unnecessary space. Many times the programs that are installed on the computer will run in the background once the computer has started up. This can cause a burden on the computer since it is not being used.

Basically the more programs or software on a computer, the slower it will run. If for any reason the computer’s registry becomes corrupt, much of the information will be destroyed. This means a new computer will have to be brought, or built. The best way to avoid off the above problems, would be to repair the registry, or install a registry cleaner software. It will clean up registry errors that may not be apparent until its too late. It is well worth the money to purchase such a program, to to have piece of mind, and no longer have to ask why does my computer freeze up.
