Renewable Energy

Renewable energy is all about using resources that can be reused over and over again. It’s any type of energy that can be naturally replaced or continued. Wind power, for example, is one of the types of renewable energy sources. It will continue without needing any other effort from man to create it, and continues throughout the world. Some parts of the world aren’t as windy as others, but energy from wind has been utilized for centuries, and can continue to be a resource to power many things when needed. It often isn’t utilized enough to its full potential.

Outside of wind as a renewable energy source, water can be a resource for energy as well. Water can be very powerful. There are scientists who are trying to figure out how to use waves from the ocean to produce energy. The pushing and pulling of the waves create massive amounts of energy and figuring out how use it as a generator to create energy could mean lots of energy from and endless resource. Dams are also very good places for renewable energy. The overflow from water falling in massive amounts can power generators and create lots of energy over time. Several operate in the United States and are used to produce energy for local areas.

Renewable resources like the sun may also be very important to many places around the world as an energy resource. While not everyone may be close to a windy spot or a place with massive amounts of flowing water, nearly everyone is around a place where the sun can be used for energy. Solar panels can be placed in particular spots and from then on used to collect solar power energy. The energy produced from the sun can be stored carefully and used when needed. Some areas have massive amounts of solar panels that help power companies and homes and much more.

Finding renewable energy resources is important for everyone, because oil and coal is dangerous to dig up and can be very costly. It is also a limited resource. While we haven’t seen the full potential the earth can provide when it comes to these sources, they will eventually run out as we use them up. The wind and sun can be energy sources that never end, and thus we can reserve the oil and coal and natural gas for things we need other than energy.
